XMission recognized as a Psychologically Healthy Workplace

Last night, the Utah Psychological Association recognized XMission with the 2009 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award, small business category. We were thrilled to receive such an honor!

The UPA recognizes organizations that encourage employee well-being through policies promoting work-life balance, employee involvement, employee growth and development, health and safety, and employee recognition.

XMission received particular recognition for its commitment to covering health and dental insurance premiums 100% for employees, their families, and domestic partners. Like our fellow award recipients – Gastronomy, BYU Center for Service and Learning, and Green Valley Spa – XMission and Pete Ashdown believe in promoting a “culture of caring.”

We sincerely appreciate the kudos. For more information about the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards, visit http://www.phwa.org/ or contact the Utah Psychological Association.

Kudos for XMISSION for taking care of their employees. My IT person was recently recommending a cheaper hosting for our website (www.advancedbehavioralcounseling.org), but the service provided by XMISSION to their customers is exemplified in their treatment of their employess, and it shows!
In this era of employers not providing benies (or not being able to afford to provide benies), this is just great! Buy local, and buy healthy.
